How are you?
I am a Hungarian citizen contemplating to move to Cape Town on a critical skills work visa. However, I have some questions and was hoping you might be able to help.
I have a master's degree from a Hungarian university (as an English and German teacher) and 14 years work experience at a multinational company (in customer service, data analysis, project management, process improvement). For the past 2.5 years I've been self-employed (registered freelancer in Hungary).
I checked the critical skills list and these are the occupations where I have experience:
Programme or Project Mgr: for 2.5 years I worked as a project manager for amultinational company. I did take courses on project management, too.
Customer Service Manager/Call or Contact Centre Mgr: I worked 10+ years in Customer Operations that had call centre teams and also back office shared services teams. For 3 years I was a manager, my team was responsible for planning and organizing the daily operations of these call centre and back office teams, making sure service levels and performance met the expectations.
Inbound/Outbound Contact Centre Consultant (German): I have experience in customer service (processing orders, inquiries, etc over the phone and via email). I have a master's degree in German, I speak the language fluently.
Based on the above information, do you think I am eligible for a critical skills visa? If yes, what is the exact process of obtaining one? And how long does it take to get it based on your experience?
